The Logic of an 8-Year-Old

Ya know, these days my brain is NOT functioning to the capacity needed to keep up with the emerging synapse connections that are rapidly...uh, connecting, in my son’s brain. Now, mind you, he still can’t eat dinner without one foot on the chair, the other one bouncing around on the floor, and food falling out of his mouth, AND he can’t focus on anything, other than his gameboy or his boogers, for more than five minutes, but, he is obviously thinking about life and coming to some fairly concrete conclusions. Take for example, his view on having good luck:

“Luck? I don’t need it. And what’s with a lucky rabbit’s foot? Wasn’t lucky for the rabbit, his foot was cut off!”

Now I, knowing there is no such thing as original thought, (and, biased as I am) thought this was freaking brilliant.

Yep, *patting self on back* that's my kid.

I agree completely with him. It is far too barbaric to haul around a dead animal's foot which obviously was hacked off for some human's warped sense of what luck is!
He is either going to become a Pastor or work for animal rights. Love him!

I have a t-shirt that is awesome...Actually, two t-shirts because the design was so awesome that I bought it in brown and white. It says "What's so lucky about a bunny with no feet?"

I just went all over the internet to find a picture of the shirt or a link or something and I couldn't...but the shirt is real...it exists..and your son is genius.

Aria - I know, right? See...our parenting skillz are paying off...

R.O. Yes...Either would be great! He however wants to be a gaming programmer or a movie director, so, I'll have to start priming him for his TRUE calling(s) now! :)

Hey Lola!!! I want that shirt! Must find it. Maybe I could get Jacob out of his Mario shirts before they permanently adhere to his body...yes he is so genius.
